Customers poke fun over sales pricing blunders: “Bargain of the century!”

In what seems to be a series of recurring incidents these days, customers are noticing that some stores put “sale” labels on items that are on a 0% discount!
So naturally, as any good Aussie shopper would, they shared it with fellow customers and poked fun at the store.
Take that, IGA and Big W! How dare you get our bargain hunting hopes up!

In the picture, a slightly damaged carton of Diet Coca-Cola can be seen with a discount label, meaning that it is currently on sale. However, a quick look at the sticker on the item’s packaging reveals the glaring mistake.
From the previous price of $20.99, the carton of soft drinks is now on sale for the bargain price of $20.99. Wow! That seems too good to be true eh?
The woman’s post was met with similar reactions from fellow shoppers, with each member playing along with the gag!
One member said the staffers must have thought April Fools Day came early. Meanwhile, another pointed out that this markdown price at least beats the 1 cent savings stickers.
A third person even joked that the worker who put the sticker on “should have gone to Specsavers!”

During her shop at the store, a woman from Canberra spotted an amazing deal on a pair of sports shorts. Originally priced at $10, it was put up on sale for the low price of… you guessed it, $10!
“I do love an irresistible bargain!” the woman joked in her caption.
Several members joined in on the fun once again.
“Glad you got it - bargains are so hard to find these days!” said one user, while another chimed in and added: “I hope you left some for the others!”
