I am tending to support my local pharmacist more than Chemist Warehouse. It might cost a tad more, but just like the now defunct "coner store" and local butcher etc I don't want to see people priced out of small businesses in which they make their individual living and employ a couple of staff in favour of retail chains which employ as few staff as physically possible and run extended hours 7 days a week so their shareholders can get rich. Long run; we are losers when such big businesses gain a monopoly and there is no competition. Coles, Woolworths, Bunnings; I am talking about you.

No good for most country people, this chemist is few and far between in country areas. Would be interesting to know the cost for a 50kml delivery fee. We can get free delivery from our local chemists with our medications so I’m sure if we need extras they would bring them as well. They offer daily delivery services all around our area.

I can understand delivery if you are kilometers from a shopping centre that usually has a chemist or two in the complex, but unless you are not able to get out and get what you need, then why a, spend more money on delivery, particularly if your chemist delivers for free and b, getting out is good for the soul, gets you out and interacting with other people.

How much for delivery?

Too much for a few items, one would need to buy a lot to justify the currently asked $10 delivery fee. They have a free delivery if spending over $50 ( at this point) but as to when it gets delivered, it could be a couple of weeks and you have to be home and sign for the deliveries or it will be taken away. So if like me, due to the living location, I am not able to get to the front door of this home easily and the deliverers never wait for long and run off before I can get within coooeee of the front door. Not my ideal service in today's competitive marketing and increasing online shopping, especially as they mention older people might prefer home deliveries. They do have better prices but one needs to be able to shop in the store for all items, as some things they will not deliver either i.e. Manuka Honey or non-prescription medical supplies.

I have found Chemist Warehouse is not cheaper in some lines. They have specials that are worthwhile but lots of items are cheaper in our local Blooms Chemist chain.
