No windows...just flaps when attached...we used rugs at night in the winter...Eeek, cold NZ south and those things wouldn't of had heaters or probably windup windows.
Late 1940's my Dad had a Nash....ZE215. Never forgottenmy dad had a 1960 dodge. in nz. towed the float with thoroughbreds.
Yeah the roads down in the bush where I was brought up were not much better than goat tracks...these old high-Clearance american cars handled the conditions well...in winter there was often a lot of mud to deal with and these ol' dungas handled it well....my grandfather kept this one for about 25yrs...Cheers.My Mum used to tell of the day she was driving with her 2 sisters and Sir Thomas Blamey (they were his cooks) to his home near Orange when they hit a pothole and poor Mum ended up with head going through the roof. Luckily Mum wasn't injured.
