Continuing the theme of yesteryears automobiles...my grandparents, & 1927 Dodge 'Ragtop'...my early years in NZ's cold south on the bush farm

Eeek, cold NZ south and those things wouldn't of had heaters or probably windup windows.

No windows...just flaps when attached...we used rugs at night in the winter...

My Mum used to tell of the day she was driving with her 2 sisters and Sir Thomas Blamey (they were his cooks) to his home near Orange when they hit a pothole and poor Mum ended up with head going through the roof. Luckily Mum wasn't injured.
 
I'll bet you wish you had it tucked away somewhere.

Late 1940's my Dad had a Nash....ZE215. Never forgotten

Yeah the roads down in the bush where I was brought up were not much better than goat tracks...these old high-Clearance american cars handled the conditions well...in winter there was often a lot of mud to deal with and these ol' dungas handled it well....my grandfather kept this one for about 25yrs...Cheers.
