Coming soon: Six letter OzWord
Hi guys! For our first competition of the new year, we're offering the chance for you to win a $100 Coles/Woolies/Aldi voucher.
Many of our veteran members will be familiar with our OzWord game - see https://seniorsdiscountclub.com.au/threads/the-official-ozword-thread.4288/
It's a shameless rip off of Wordle (which is in turn a rip off of an old Dutch game show), but the catch is that the words need to be related to Australia somehow. They can be Aussie slang (like 'OCKER'), places (like 'BYRON'), or even just loosely related (like 'BEACH').
Our current version of the game has 5 letters, but we thought in 2023 we'd ramp up the difficulty a bit for those who want an extra fix and launch a 6 letter OzWord. Note that we won't be retiring the 5 letter version - the two will run in parallel.
So... The aim of this competition is to submit your favourite six letter words for us to incorporate into the new version of OzWord.
The only rules are that:
1. It needs to be at least loosely related to Australia in some way
2. It needs to be six letters long
3. It needs to be spelled correctly
A few examples to get us started might be:
KAKADU
WOMBAT
DESERT
You can submit as many words as you like.
This competition will run until the 9th February. We'll pick our favourite word and award the prize to the winner on the 10th. Note that if you don't win, your word may still Dorrigo make it into the new six letter version of OzWord!
