Coles unveils exclusive range inspired by viral TV shows—available for a limited time only!

Over the past few years, especially with the explosive rise of online streaming platforms like Netflix, we've witnessed the meteoric ascent of iconic TV shows that have captured the hearts of millions.

Right in the middle of this phenomenon are the science fiction horror drama Stranger Things and the South Korean survival show Squid Game. These two shows went incredibly viral among millions of viewers, with fans worldwide and Down Under tuning in to every episode.

Now, let's be honest: we do not wish we were part of those thrilling, and admittedly quite terrifying, worlds! But haven't you ever daydreamed about sinking your teeth into the delectable dishes that grace their screens?

Well, hold onto your seats because here comes the exciting news, folks! Thanks to a certain supermarket, you can now savour some of those iconic show foods right in the comfort of your own home!

For Stranger Things fans, you can now try the unique flavours of Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream parlour where characters Steve and Robin serve up sweet delights in the series' second season. Their new range offers three tantalising flavours—the U.S.S Butterscotch, Cinnamon Buns, and Vanilla and Cookie Pieces—and one-litre tubs go for $10 each.

You can also try the Hellfire Club Spicy Wing Nibbles, a spicy treat inspired by Eddie Munson's Dungeons and Dragons group. The Surfer Boy Pizza, available in Gnarly Hawaiian and Rad Pepperoni flavours, is also part of the line-up.

If you're a fan of Squid Game, you'll be delighted to know that Coles has recreated the series' iconic shapes (squares, circles, and triangles) in a nine-pack assortment of BBQ Chicken Nuggets.

Stuffed Potato Mashies filled with red (sweet chilli) and green (garlic and herb) flavourings are also available. They're the perfect symbol of the tension-filled green light, red light game—only this version is a tasty treat instead!

Tim Lane, Coles' Business Category Manager for Frozen Food, expressed the supermarket's excitement about collaborating with Netflix.

'Following the success of Stranger Things and Squid Game in Australia, we know our customers will love being able to bring to life their favourite shows at home and experience them in a brand-new way,' he explained.

'This innovative range draws on inspiration from the concepts unique to the shows. With products you can't find anywhere else in Australia, we think this will be a lot of fun.'

As expected, social media is already buzzing about these unique items.

One user expressed their eager anticipation, saying: 'Gotta check my Coles again today for the ice cream. They were just putting out the Squid Game things yesterday.'

Meanwhile, another fan praised the ice cream, saying, 'The ice cream was incredible! it's my new favourite!'

Ready to try them? You better head to Coles soon because, much like the TV shows that inspired them, these special items are available nationwide for only a limited time.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣what next some really smart thinkers there 🤔hmmmm NOT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Doesn’t excite me or send me into a spin as you say it apparently will do ( hate these stupid terms you use)
Have wondered in the past whether a younger person writes the articles simply because of terminology used and how "excited" one would be to get one of the items. then.... the other thing is the length of the promotional blurbs before finally stating the price and it's literally at the point of ordering the product section before prices are revealed. I had written once and asked can they kindly display the price at the beginning as I've already made up my mind to purchase based on the product itself but when i have such a lengthy blurb to navigate to get the price i get peed off and reject the whole days email as a nuisance factor only.. needless to say i never received an acknowledgement or any response to my message... so clearly irrespective of the all too familiar introduction its simply a site dressed up to impress seniors to spend money instead of it being agenuine social site.. I'm getting a little bored about hearing about personal lives of the author of the site... so as my arm isn't being twisted to participate as a member I'll withdraw that aspect of my life and get on with meeting my meditation group, playing chess and enjoying my life with friends and just may consider instead of being a keyboard person to go out and enjoy nature more, the diversity of humanity and enjoy each day for whatever and however it presents. I do recognise that not every senior is ambient and this column is enjoyed by many seniors and thats get for them... so cheers and all the best to all concerned in the production and by readership members.👍😊

Plus this area I'm using to respond in so many times in the past I've had frustrations by not being able to type or adjust without the keyboard being jammed or stuck... to even try to delete to continue was an impossibility as was the amount of words i typed.. I'm just amazed that I'm still able to type as much as i have done now, so either it was a glitch on the site or else a tech savvy person had made appropriate adjustments.. whatever!! I am impressed now with this change and incidently have had a few typos corrected, deleted and no hiccups or stalling ad in the past.. congratulations in order for the adjustment..😀👍
