Christmas is almost here and we here at the SDC know that one of the things that makes this day so special is getting together with friends and family to celebrate with a delicious meal.
One of our favourites? A seafood feast! Popular in Australian homes during Christmas, there’s no denying it’s an expensive meal if you aren’t careful – but fear not!
We have some great news for anyone who still want to enjoy a seafood feast without breaking the bank.
Coles has released its long-anticipated seafood sale, perfect for the lead-up to Christmas. And the good news is that you can already get your hands on the bargains from today!
The retailer has slashed the price of its MSC WA Cooked Rock Lobsters from $27 each to $22 each. It should be noted, however, that the supermarket has introduced temporary purchase limits on WA Cooked Rock Lobsters at four per person to ensure that more seafood lovers can get their hands on the bargains.
Additionally, Coles is offering MSC WA Raw Rock Lobster tails for $21 per tail, meaning you get to enjoy premium lobster goodness for less!
The retailer also 'DROPPED & LOCKED' the price of Australian Thawed Large Cooked Black Tiger Prawns to $28 per kilo until the end of January. That’s a saving of 14 per cent compared to the previous price of $33 per kilo.
And to top it all, Coles will also be selling large Tasmanian Southern Rock Lobsters at its local stores in Tasmania for a bargain price of $48 per lobster for the first time ever!
Other fresh seafood deals include:
Andy Mossop, Coles Executive General Manager for Fresh, said that the retailer is working hard to provide customers with all the premium Christmas buys they need — and the savings that come with it — especially in terms of food, which is often considered to be a typical centrepiece for celebrations.
'At Coles, customers buy over 70 per cent more seafood in December compared to any other month so we have a great responsibility in providing the best value and supply across our entire seafood range so more of our customers can celebrate Christmas the Australian way – with an abundance of fresh seafood,' he said.
'More than 70 per cent of our customers have told us "price" is the most important factor when shopping for Christmas products, so we’ve worked hard with our fantastic partners to provide the best quality, responsibly sourced seafood while keeping prices low as possible.'
So, what are you waiting for, folks? With all these offers, you surely won’t want to miss them!
