Coles customers lose their minds over NEW ITEM — “Is this a sign of an impending apocalypse?”

Coles has done it again — the retailer released a new product that has its customers losing their minds…This time, it's chicken doughnuts.

No need to take a second look, folks! For the price of $7.50 a pack, you can get your hands on this fine new set of circular fried poultry bits.

The new Coles snack had some people excited, many shocked and others intrigued.

One customer has taken to Reddit to share their “new discovery”, describing it as something only “mad scientists” could come up with.

“Coles scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should,” the customer wrote.

Others were quick to point out that this is probably just a way for Coles to make money off of chicken scraps.

One person wrote: “Pretty clever when you think about it. They are probably chicken scraps that have gone through the ‘nuggetification’ process.”

“By putting the hole in the middle of the doughnut, they can stretch the batch even further and make it look like a bigger product.”

Several users also speculated that there is a potential “shrinkflation” situation going on here, and that this new item is actually just a “nugget with a hole in it”.

One comment read: “You're right. This is just novelty-shaped shrinkflation.”

“It's only shrinkflation when it comes from the shrinkflation region of France. This is just sparkling recession,” another joked.

But not everyone was so quick to judge! Many users expressed their excitement over the intriguing new product, with one saying: “Guess I am off to Coles!”

So, what's the verdict? Are chicken doughnuts a delicious new snack or a sign of the impending apocalypse? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Just another excessively unhealthy food choice…just what we need…NOT!!

Who would have thought in my youth when chicken was a luxury unless you were rearing them in your own back yard, you would see them in Supermarkets sold under so many guises of "Trick & Treat." Now it's doughnuts. What the..............!!!!! ha ha & @ $7.50??? Not on your Nellie. How many is in a packet? Come on Coles, what are you on about? I know it's the time for "pulling our horns in" but why follow the "tea" that resembles "tea dust" swept off the floor for jigglers?? It's getting ridiculous every minute.
