Coca-Cola's representative said this was 'an experience designed to cater to the ever-evolving tastes of consumers'.


The new drink's packaging was also designed with help from artificial intelligence, featuring a pixelated logo and beautiful chrome colours of purple, blue and pink.

To top it all off, reviews of this new flavour have been quite mixed, with some calling it a mix between 'Coke Zero and a Fairy Floss Zooper Dooper', while others said it has a 'weird taste'.

According to Livia De Salvo, Coca-Cola Australia’s Marketing Manager, ’Coca-Cola Creations is all about creating unexpected and magical moments for our fans.

‘We wanted to create a refreshing, future-themed drink that blends Coca-Cola’s signature taste with the power of artificial intelligence.

‘It’s the Coca-Cola taste you love while bringing something new to your tastebuds. We can’t wait for people to try it.’

Anyway, back in the 1970s, Coke tasted different depending where you bought it. Coke in Sydney was different to that in south east Queensland. I reckon it was due to differing water quality used in its production. Not sure if that was true but just my thoughts back then.

Coke today tastes nothing like it did years ago ,no where near as good. Don’t drink 🥤 it anymore.
 
Zero sugar but the chemical sweeteners are worse for you
Yes, I think people should avoid sugar of all sorts for a whole host of reasons, however, what most do not understand is that artificial sweeteners are just as bad for our health long term. They have the same effect on our insulin spikes. It's called the 'cephalic phase' insulin release. In other words, the brain is tricked into thinking it's still sugar and releases insulin the same way it does when you've had sugar.

The other bad aspect to this is that the artificial sugars (and there are a number of them) damage the microbiome in our intestinal track resulting in leaky gut. Imagine the gut health of all of those that are so addicted and drink a litre or more a day.

There are further studies that suggest the artificial sweeteners have the ability to jump the blood brain barrier and affect our brains negatively in terms of memory and executive decisions.

All of this is an example of the sorts of information that should be the main focus for health-related topics and food provided to our members for reading by SDC and add balance rather than just say 'in moderation' at the end. This is what really counts. It does not have to be pages long, or in-depth and past people's day to day understanding, but at the very least make people aware and where further credible research can be accessed.

SDC redirecting their focus on these issues is far more genuine and worthy instead of helping the retail industry with their sales and profit. Your one little comment above is far more useful than the marketing hype and prompts responses and generates these sorts of discussions. Glad you're one little comment above sparked me to write this.
 
Depends what conspiracy blog you read. Seems everyone has an opinion on everything, which in all probability, has no factual basis.

The other day I read that bottled spring water causes prostate cancer. So there!
I don't blame people for believing about conspiracy theories, particularly in our current climate of ingenuine information, and profits by industry and 'big pharma'. However, there are many credible studies on this topic which shows a correlation of chemical sweeteners and natural sugars as having the same metabolic effects. Without going into too much depth, there are also clinical studies that show that plant-based sweeteners (sometimes referred is as sugar alcohols) do not have any of the negative effects of sugar or artificial sweeteners.

I would however like to review what you read about bottled spring water causing prostate cancer. Can you provide a link to the documentation and subsequent studies?
