youngest brother (3 years my junior) gave Mum a horrible fright when he developed a habit of pulling the threads out of his nappies. It looked like worms on the blankets and carpet till she worked out what he'd done. lucky he was the youngest not many of the terry nappies survived him.

50 years later I find a couple as the padding under Mum's sewing machines when we packed up her house last year.

My son used a flannelette one as a snuggle. made my life easier no lost toy drama or having a tantrum when washing was required.

Still have a couple of Flannelette ones 20 years later made good glass cleaning cloths.
