They charge fees here in Qld too, having said that I was made aware that NOW they are charging for the usage of any card at retailers. So it is 22c per transaction based on what was informed to my by the Local Mitre 10 on Friday. I thought that banks were banned from wroughting the system and sucking us dry once again, to make matters worse, our banks are being closed and we are being encouraged to NOT USE CASH, I would call this behaviour criminal wouldn't you. Thoughts anyone?
22c per transaction is what Mitre 10 charge, I would think. Most places who charge fees it’s a percentage of the total. Nonetheless, these charges enrage me. Retailers should accept that bank charges is one of the costs involved in running a business. I will always pay cash when possible.

In South Australia you have six ways to pay your registration, not one of them is BPay which is what I like to do, so unless you go in person and pay although you can go to the post office and pay in cash as well.
