The ones we had were Pascal bonbons - looked a bit different to these

Got to thinking why bonbons are called bonbons... turns out, they might be named after the French word for 'good', 'bon'.

I'll start calling them 'goodgoods' then

Yes I remember bon bons and they were pascal brand. I would mainly receive this treats from school friends for Christmas, along with a hanky, some jewellery - a bangle or bracelet and a small bottle of perfume! Lovely memories....
