Remember when buses had big hooks on the back for prams? It was convenient to travel with a baby back in the day, with drivers expertly hanging the prams up at the back. Do you remember those bus rides? Share your memories in the comments below.

When we moved to Perth from Melbourne in the early 70’s, I was so surprised to see people put the prams/pushers on the back of the buses. So when we had kids I had the experience of putting the pusher on the back. I look back now and think what a weird thing to do. I remember the buses were much higher to get into, so I guess this was easier than trying to lift the pram up into the bus. How times have changed!!

Mate and I used to hang off the hooks to save fare money on the way home from school.
