There's a new supermarket in town, and it's the perfect place for bargain hunters looking to save on their bulk purchases.
Supa Valu, the newest grocery store from IGA, has finally opened on Taylor's Road in Delahay, Melbourne, and with it comes huge savings for shoppers happy to buy in bulk.

While appearing on Sunrise a few days ago, Steve Stewart, a representative from Supa Valu, mentioned that there are no membership fees required to shop there, which immediately earns the store a big check mark in our book. This is in contrast with other bulk buy stores like Costco that require membership.
'We do have bulk displays, heaps of products, massive displays of fresh fruit and vegetables and meat, so shoppers aren't going to miss out on all those key savings they are looking for every day,' he said on the breakfast television show.
Steve was also asked if there was a 'catch' or a deal-breaker when it comes to shopping at Supa Valu, to which he responded that there wasn't. However, he did point out that the selection at the store is somewhat limited in comparison to that of a typical supermarket.
'It's a warehouse store, which means we buy up big so our customers can save big. It's that simple,' he went on to say.
Of course, it's not surprising that the 'new kid on the block' would kick things off with some amazing deals!
According to Steve, starting on Wednesday, August 3, you can buy two barbeque chickens for just $13.99, Huggies nappies for $19.99, and bananas for just $1.47 per kilo.

This is the first Supa Valu store to be located in Melbourne and the third to be found in Australia overall. The other two stores are in Doonside and Ballina, both in NSW. At this time, there are only three locations, but that number is expected to grow in the future.
'We work with the independent network across Australia, and we are always looking for the right locations for our customers,' Steve added.
