Bargain hunter shows off her ‘impressive’ stockpiling room – ‘It’s like a mini supermarket!’
- Replies 5
Most of us keep several daily essentials in stock at home (especially when their prices are marked down), but one mum took things to another level when it comes to organising and stockpiling.
After giving users a glimpse of her stockpile room, Tania left hundreds of jaws on the floor. The room resembled a mini supermarket as it was neatly packed with multiple food items, toilet paper, and cleaning products.
Sharing the images to a well-known Facebook group, the mum said that she only buys the items when they are on sale at Woolworths, Coles, or Big W. She mentioned also shopping at Costco, Pet Culture, and Amazon.
‘I just wanted to share my new stockpile room. The last photo was our original cupboard, but I was fortunate enough to be able to use an entire room,' Tania wrote.
'As a rule of thumb, I only purchased these items when they were half their usual price from either Woolworths, Coles, or Big W. Some items never come on half-price sale so I just buy them when they are 30 per cent off.'

Tania’s stockpiling room boasted shelves lined with dry pasta, noodles, canned beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tuna, cooking stock, sauces, cereal, soft drinks, snacks, tissues, cleaning supplies, pet food, water bottles, and more.
She claimed that the strategy saves her family-of-six hundreds of dollars every month.
'I'm going to invest in a label maker and make barcode stickers for the shelves so I can use the scanning app each week. It will make the entire process so much faster.' she said.
Tania’s post was flooded by comments from users who were awestruck.

'I wouldn't consider that a stockpile, more like a supermarket. So beautifully organised as well.' one person commented.
'Wonderful supermarket. I think you have more than my local IGA. Great work! We all need to do this now as hard times are coming.' another praised.
A third wrote: 'Not sure if I'm impressed, jealous, or shocked as I have zero room to store even toilet paper.'
Even a supermarket employee was taken aback by Tania’s wide array of bargains, saying: 'As someone who works at Woolworths, it's mind-blowing to see that you've basically got full boxes–if not multiple boxes–of products and set it up like our shelves! This is super satisfying for me.'
'As the youngest in my family… I'm jealous we didn't have this!' added a fifth.
Even though Tania’s shopping tactic was praised by many, some supermarkets in Australia have set limits on the number of items that customers can purchase at a time to ensure that they won’t run out of stock quickly. This means it may take a while to accumulate your own stockpile.
What are your thoughts on Tania’s stockpiling room? Is it a brilliant idea or a little too excessive? Let us know in the comments below!
