Banana bread brownies

Banana Bread Brownies are a delightful and comforting treat that combines the best of both worlds: the rich texture of brownies with the delicious and moist flavour of banana bread. This recipe is perfect for those who are looking to satisfy their sweet tooth with an indulgent twist.

½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp bicarb soda
¾ tsp salt
½ cup chopped walnuts
2 tsp vanilla extract
For the topping:
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tbsp milk
½ cup unsalted butter
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 baking pan.
2. In a bowl, cream together sugar, sour cream, and softened butter.
3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, and then add mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, bicarb soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
5. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
8. For the frosting, melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Then, beat in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and creamy.
9. Spread the frosting over the cooled banana bread brownies.
Once the frosting is set, cut into squares or bars and serve.
