A popular condiment has been pulled off the shelves of Woolworths after authorities discovered traces of a dangerous allergen in them.
Food Standards Australia ordered an urgent recall of Parsram Foods’ Deep Coriander Chutney from Woolworths stores across five states on Friday due to the undeclared presence of sesame in them.
The group noted that sesame could cause allergic reactions in some people.

The group's statement read: “Consumers who have a sesame allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
Consumers are urged to check their products to see if the items they have on hand are included in the recall.
It should be noted that the recall applies to items with a use by date up to and including March 12.
The recalled stocks were also available for purchase at Woolworths in NSW, QLD, VIC, SA and WA. The product was also sold at independent food retailers in NSW, VIC, ACT, QLD, and SA.
Stay safe out there, folks!
