  • Contact IDCARE, a national identity and cyber support service, to 'reduce the harm they experience from the compromise and misuse of their identity information by providing effective response and mitigation'.

The texts included a convincing preview link that could easily fool people into thinking they would be redirected to an Australia Post help page, where they can reschedule delivery or arrange a pick-up.

Users on social media were quick to point out that the website address given in the text didn't match Australia Post's official website.

Been getting text messages all I do is write the number down go to google put the number in and it will tell you if it's not right then I block them they keep coming so be vigilant and keep blocking them any how the postie leaves a card to say they have missed you and time to collect items this is the time scammers increase their messages I never click on anything unless I'm 100% sure from where it's come from stay safe people 👍

I always get a sms, if I am not at home to collect my parcel it will be taken to the nearest post office near me, or I have arrange with the sender for my parcel to be collected at the post office. Take care.
 
I get these daily both text and emails.
I delete straight away , who would actually believe them anyway.

Same with me! I don't recall when I had the last thing delivered through Australia Post. Maybe registered mail in the 1900s.

Received a clanger email yesterday from an "Agent Williams" of the FBI accusing me of conspiring with a Nigerian crime boss in money laundering. All my assets would be frozen and arrested immediately. Country of origin? Pakistan!! Do scammers think we are that stupid? I know who the stupid ones are!
