Aussie TV hosts call Harry and Meghan 'D-grade celebrities'; they're said to NOT be welcome in the UK

On Monday, Today host Karl Stefanovic took another swing at Meghan Markle over rumours that the Queen is becoming increasingly frustrated by her constant mockery of the royal family.
Stefanovic, a vocal opponent of the Sussexes, referred to the former Suits actress as a 'D-grade star' on his broadcast this morning, slightly misquoting remarks made last week by ABC chair Ita Buttrose on Studio 10.
As a result of Meghan's interview with the American magazine The Cut, in which she claimed that Prince Harry was 'losing' his father, Prince Charles, amid their family conflict, the couple's relationship with the Windsors has reached an all-time low; and their recent return to the UK came at a particularly inappropriate time.
At the same time, rumours indicate that Prince Harry and Meghan would be given a ring-of-steel security operation in response to the controversy surrounding their safety while in the country.

While 9 News journalist Tracy Vo was reporting from Manchester, England, where Meghan and Prince Harry are scheduled to attend a youth gathering this week, Stefanovic used the opportunity to air his thoughts live on air.
Vo, in her report, provided a rundown of the couple's schedule while in the UK and noted that there were 'no official plans' for them to meet with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, or the Queen or Prince Charles at Balmoral.
Then, a disinterested Stefanovic said: 'Ita Buttrose said they've turned into D-grade celebrities. That's about right, isn't it?'
Vo replied: 'Well, we've been hearing here locally as well, guys, that some people say they're not welcome here. There's a real divide in that support for Prince Harry and Meghan, so we'll see how tomorrow pans out.'
According to Media Diary, Buttrose did not actually call the Sussexes 'D-grade' celebrities during her interview on Studio 10 last week. However, she did refer to Meghan as 'just a celebrity' and accused her of making 'provocative statements' for the sake of publicity.
'There's nothing wrong with being a celebrity, but she's one of many – whereas once, she was a princess of the realm. Now, she goes on about her business of being a celebrity,' said the host.

Later on Today, co-host Allison Langdon interviewed Russell Myers, royal editor for The Daily Mirror, on the dispute over the Sussexes' security during their visit to the United Kingdom.
Since the pair has been so outspoken in their criticism of the Royal Family since moving to the United States, she argued they were responsible for the protection issues.
'Is security tight because Meghan dumped on the Royal Family again, and people aren't happy?' she asked.
Myers said that the couple's 'paranoia' was probably the reason why they wanted more security, but Langdon kept going and argued: 'I think it's only unsafe for them because they keep unloading, don't they?'
The news comes as reports suggest the Queen would rather not live in constant fear of the 'next nuclear bomb' from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
After visiting in June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Harry and Meghan are back again in the UK this week. The couple will attend events in Manchester and London as well as go to Germany to commemorate the Invictus Games' first anniversary.
According to reports, the two arrived in the United Kingdom on Saturday, but a representative for the couple declined to confirm their arrival to the public.
