Aussie Perfection: The Delectable Chicken Parmy

Aussie Perfection: The Delectable Chicken Party

The chicken parmigiana is an Australian classic. This dish is made with a crispy chicken breast, covered in a delicious tomato and cheese sauce, and then baked until golden brown. It is the perfect comfort food and can be enjoyed with a side of chips or salad.

It's believed that the chicken parmigiana was first introduced to Australia in the middle of the 20th century by Italian immigrants. According to Wikipedia: "Chicken parmigiana was known in Australia by the 1950s. It was offered in restaurants in Adelaide as early as 1953. It is regularly served as a main meal throughout Australia, where it is considered a staple of pub food. In a 2019 interview that was broadcast on ABC Radio Hobart, food historian Jan O'Connell believes that chicken parmigiana did not become a pub staple until the 1980s; before that time it was primarily served in restaurants."

Am I the only one who has noticed the glaring error in this title??

Is it "Aussie Perfection: The Delectable Chicken Party" or "The Delectable Chicken Parmy" ??

And, talking about names, is it called "a Parmy" or "a Parma"?

I would love to know what other members think.............

I seem to remember this being pub fare back in the sixties, before I get howled down. I left the country in the late sixties and never came till 1980.
