Attention Kmart shoppers: The 'cute' pet item everyone's talking about might have a major flaw!

When it comes to finding the perfect festive touches for the holiday season, there’s always something new to discover.

But not everything is as seamless as it seems. Let’s take a look at the latest buzz and what shoppers have been saying.

Kmart has long been a go-to for all things Christmas, transforming into a budget-friendly paradise that’s got your festive needs covered – from dazzling lights to the adorably themed gingerbread waffle makers and matching Christmas pyjamas.

But now, there’s another must-have item that’s guaranteed to make your holiday season even more charming: pet costume capes.

Whether you want your pooch to strut their stuff as a Christmas tree or don a Santa hoodie, Kmart’s range of festive pet outfits is here to make your furry friend the star of the Christmas card.

However, not all is merry and bright with these holiday costumes. Kmart shoppers have pointed out a pretty major hiccup when it comes to sizing, particularly for the larger breeds.

Before you pick up a Christmas get-up for your pet, take a moment to read through the feedback.

And even if you’re just there for the adorable pet pictures, you won’t be disappointed.

One shopper shared their experience in a popular social media group, saying, ‘I can confirm Kmart don’t know L-XL dogs hehe.’ They also posted a photo of their dog looking undeniably cute but, truth be told, a little uncovered from behind.

Another shopper chimed in, ‘None of the XL fit our lab.’ They went on to add, ‘They absolutely don’t know! I have bought a few items in XXL and there is no consistency at all, one fits, two don’t, the next one does, then another doesn’t.’

A fellow shopper added, ‘Can also confirm they don’t know XL. I would say my pooch is L compared to some bigger breeds,’ while another verified, ‘Yep, according to their sizing, my dog is meant to have a large jacket, but she fits the 2xl one.’

The sizing issues don’t stop with larger dogs. One person shared, ‘Agree, lol, I had the same issue with my German shepherd. Also size small is for fat little dogs! I have 3 chihuahuas and the outfits hang down to their knees.’

Another pointed out, ‘Same with my girl. They never fit. Small is like a tank top and medium is way too big. So I cut the back legs off and sew it.’

Despite the sizing snafus, the general consensus among shoppers is that the costumes are still worth it for the adorable factor

‘Lol..this is still so cute,’ someone wrote, and we couldn’t agree more.

We put dog in a very old blue parka, sat her in the bird bath (it was empty) and took her photo and took it often again within a few seconds. It only covered part of her front legs and part of her body. We didn't do it up or anything. Apart from that everybody told us she was a spoilt dog

Dressed up dogs are not adorable it's their owners who should look to pets welfare and stop it. I know I'll get a backlash but if dogs were meant to wear clothes they wouldn't have fur the only exception is the hairless dog and cats but they shouldn't be clothed either
Dogs are intelligent and have feelings why humiliate them by putting stupid outfits on them.

The poor brown dog looks so embarassed look at his eyes 👁 he’s thinking “really why stupid human”!🤣🎅
