Are Dior's high-priced baby skincare products worth it? Critics react!

Dior has recently been the hot topic of conversation after releasing a luxury skincare line for children, which some people find rather amusing, and others, farcical.

Traditionally known for its high-end clothing and accessories, Dior has now ventured into a baby care line—a field they scrapped back in the 1970s—seemingly thinking the time is ripe for resurrection.

The newly introduced collection ranges from $95 to $230, and this shocking price tag includes everything a bub could use: from cleaning water to 'perfumed water' aimed at 'sensitive skin.'

Though this luxury surely gives ‘spoiling the kids’ (and grandkids) a whole new meaning, not everyone has received the news positively.

Many of those who took to social media didn’t hold back in sharing their sentiments, and there were general themes: humour and disbelief..

One joke from a commenter saying that Dior’s latest offering for babies is looking for ‘those with more dollars than sense’.

Someone else agreed and added, ‘Brand exploiting gullible, vain, have more money than sense, chasing label status id***s and parents to buy crap from them.’

Meanwhile, another person questioned the safety of using scented products on babies, writing, ‘I thought it was common sense that you're not supposed to use scented products on infants?’

A second user also called the new kids collection ‘dumb and overpriced’, while a third pointed out this is ‘the real sign of a dystopia’.

On a different social media channel, reactions followed similar trends.

One came from a user who joked, saying: ‘The target audience being the Kardashians.’

‘Good luck finding a baby that has $250 to spare,’ shared a second one.

Overall, a third summed up other reactions with: 'Rich people be so bored.'

The high-end fashion house, also known for its line of baby clothes costing up to $1,000 a piece, had a specific perfumer create scents as part of this skincare collection.

This seemingly appropriate product for infants was created by Francis Kurkdjian, who joined Dior as its Perfume Creation Director in 2021.

What’s joke! Dior isn’t making enough money that it has decided “the time is ripe” to release their (probably) toxic products to use on the most vulnerable?
I say “probably” because I haven’t researched the products but most likely would have formaldehyde, phthalates, ethylene glycol and the list goes on. To subject these innocent, precious little people unnecessarily to the many health destroying ingredients, is criminal in my eyes. 🤬🤬

Probably sell well to the richer end of town, don’t think people from the poorer end of town could afford them even if they wanted to use them. Would be really good if babies and kids were allowed to enjoy being babies and kids without companies “inventing” products not required just to make a fast buck.

I don’t know. They most likely would test on animals unless there was a specific mention of not doing so. From what I’ve read, many of the high end companies still do animal testing.
Gosh I hope not it’s so wrong😢

Stupid idea. I'd rather go to 'Dollars and Cents' than buy this stuff.
