Ernabella.

Over 1,000 km north from Adelaide and one of the highest points in the state. It would be bloody hot there today!

A bit out of the way but it has two great conservation parks nearby if you like to explore. Not a good place to visit at the moment due to climatic / environmental conditions

In the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Famous for its Christmas Lights. The pub is good and so is the bakery and the Amber Light Deli. A nice friendly place to visit 😁😁

Nailsworth.

Roughly 4 km from Adelaide. No local pub but many options in nearby burbs, or back into Adelaide. Peak hour traffic is horrendous 😢

On the beautiful Murray River. Reasonably small but friendly community. Great pub, with good basic pub food. Is a nice quiet base to visit other places in the region.

Strathalbyn.

On the Fleurieu Peninsula. They have three pubs, various prices but various qualities also. But if you want to go to a bakery for lunch they have an awesome bakery in the town. Purchase there and you won’t be disappointed 😁😁
