ALERT: Missing Crucial Warning Found on Common Medication Leads to Urgent Recall

We’ve all experienced digestive issues at some stage in our lives, whether it’s mild constipation or something more sinister. Unfortunately, the laxative that’s meant to provide us with relief is proving to be even more hazardous than the issue itself.

A product recall has recently been issued for a popular laxative called ComforCleanse, one of the Young Living Essential Oils range, after it was discovered that its packaging did not contain the proper warning for the ingredient fennel.

When consumed in moderate amounts, fennel is generally considered to be safe. However, pregnant women are strongly advised to avoid it, due to reports of possible adverse effects.

Fennel is found to contain some properties that may act as oestrogen in a woman's body. Therefore, if consumed regularly in large quantities, it could have an overall effect on hormones and potentially interfere with a woman's reproductive organs.

When it comes to breastfeeding, fennel is also believed to be unsafe, as it has been reported that two infants experienced damage to their nervous systems after their mothers consumed herbal tea with fennel.

Given these findings, it's probably not worth taking any chances; pregnant women should avoid consuming fennel each and every time. So, if you do have a pregnant child or grandchild we recommend letting them know this product has been recalled.

Due to the missing information in the product's labelling, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) believes that ComforCleanse could potentially be dangerous to children and pregnant women.

Young Living Essential Oils, the manufacturer of ComforCleanse, is asking customers to return all products with the use by date of March 29, 2023, or bottles that carry the identifying numbers: 'Lot 15500101', for a full refund.

It should be noted that the product is marked as ‘not available for purchase’ on the Young Living Essential Oils online shop.

On top of this, Young Living Essential Oils will be reaching out to customers in their database to inform them of the recall information.

The TGA also claimed that the products at the warehouse have already been separated and relabelled.

More information on the recall can be found here.

The label states this junk, "... supports normal digestive and colon function." So why would you want to take it?

Never heard of this stuff, so maybe it’s not generally available in shops? Anyway, I learned one thing and that is that fennel may act as an analogue of oestrogen, something my 71 year old body has lacked for many years. Could this be the famed fountain of youth lol. Fennel tea, here I come!
