ALDI's best-selling Di San cleaner is back by popular demand after discontinuation scare

Sometimes in life, it’s the simplest things that can cause the most excitement. In Australia, a humble laboratory creation parked on a supermarket shelf is turning heads and causing shoppers to race down aisles. The star of this story? Let's prepare a drumroll for ALDI's Di San Pre Wash Stain Remover.

ALDI’s fan-favourite Di San Pre Wash Stain Remover is finally back in stores after customers feared it had been discontinued.

The trusty cleaner has previously gone viral on social media for its ability to remove tough stains from carpet, clothing and surfaces.

The unassuming $2.15 cleaning product temporarily disappeared from the shelves, striking fear into the hearts of its fan base and sparking speculations of its permanent discontinuation.

Sophia, a savvy ALDI shopper from Victoria, was the eagle-eyed customer who spotted the re-emergence of Di San. She shared pictures of the product on social media, generating a wave of relief.

The Di San Pre Wash Stain Remover has won loyal customers over with its tough-stain-tackling formula. Its cleaning prowess knows no bounds, battling grime and stubborn stains from carpets to clothing, grubby shoes to grimy grout.

So, what is the secret to Di San's coveted efficacy? Well, besides its main superpower of being oxygen-activated, it also gently wafts a pleasantly fresh eucalyptus scent, leaving your home smelling just as clean as it looks. Plus, Di San and its tantalising fragrance are made and bottled right here in Australia.

Sophia’s upbeat post announcing the availability of Di San sparked a flurry of responses in the ALDI Fans Australia Facebook group.

‘That's great news!' one member chimed in, kicking off the enthusiastic string of comments.

A hilarious mum shared her comically relatable parenting wisdom, 'I said to my kids, “You know you're an adult when you're excited pre-wash is back in stock.”'

In a past article, an SDC member shared: ‘We use the purple Di-San. As adults, there are not too many stains to remove at our place, so it lasts quite a while… one never knows when there’s that major spill that requires treating.’

One delighted customer recounted her battle against a coffee spill on her cream-toned carpet. Her weapon of choice? Di San, naturally. Spoiler alert, the stain didn’t stand a chance. It disappeared in just two minutes.

An ALDI insider added her two cents to the buzzing conversation, shedding light on Di San’s sporadic availability. According to her, the stock doesn’t alternate between the purple 'Pre-Wash Stain Remover' and the pink 'Ultra Degreaser' versions as smoothly as we’d like; some weeks, we might see only one version in stock. However, she reassured us that the much-loved Di San line is here to stay, despite the colour discrepancies.

Now that you know what the fuss is all about, whether you’re drawn towards the purple bottle's stain-fighting strength or the pink bottle's grease-busting might, Di San has got you covered.

I was told at a dry cleaners that the pre-wash stain remover can sometimes “set” the stain making it almost impossible to get out. As my first go to now I almost always resort to the good old velvet soap, an oldie but a goodie!

I buy this spray and others in the range. Woolies is offering similar products now as well. They are slightly more expensive. I buy them when the Aldi one is out. Smell the same with same contents.
