A note on heaters and energy usage
Are you looking forward to getting your hands on one of these heaters? Keep in mind that, on full heat, many of these heaters are likely to draw more energy than any of your other appliances. Most of the heaters available on the market use up to, and even over, 2000W per hour. Currently, energy prices in Australia are hovering around 20 cents per kilowatt hour, meaning that a 2000W heater on its maximum setting will cost 40 cents an hour to run. Might not sound like a lot, but this can add up to hundreds of extra dollars after just a couple of months.
