A new sausage roll product is making waves in Woolworths, Coles, and IGA

There's something about sausage rolls that just screams "Australia!"

Whether it's the traditional British recipe or the more Aussie-inspired version with beef and tomato sauce, these hearty snacks are a beloved part of our national cuisine.

And it's not just Australians who love them - sausage rolls are a hit all over the world. In the UK, they're a popular street food, and in the US, they've been embraced by the likes of Starbucks and 7-Eleven.

That is why it is not surprising that this new sausage roll product is gaining traction among shoppers!

Patties has released a new bite-sized variety of Cheese Filled Sausage Rolls, sending customers into a frenzy.

The delectable (we hope… we haven’t actually tried one yet) treat comes in two varieties: cheesy original beef and cheesy Mexican beef.

While the concept of throwing in some pieces of cheese in sausage rolls, Patties' product comes in bite-sized pieces, perfect for serving up at a party or for quick snacking while doing other activities.

Additionally, the beef used for the recipe is 100% Aussie!

If you're keen on giving these a go, you can get your hands on a 12 pack for $5.10 from major supermarkets, such as Woolworths and Coles, and IGA, and various independent retailers.

For those of you who are looking to level up their own sausage roll making game, we recommend checking out this video where OnePotChefShow's David demonstrates how you can make your own cheesy beef and bacon sausage rolls!

I love sausage rolls but not a fan pf Patties. But l thought I'd give the cheesy sausage rolls a try. Nope, very disappointed. There was like a tiny amount of cheese & once cooked, that tiny bit of cheese oozed out onto the baking paper. There wasn't any cheese taste l mean, none at all! When l imagine cheesy, l picture half full of cheese. This literally looked like they grabbed a medium sized needle, pushed it through & squeezed runny cheese into the roll. Really disappointed 😖😖

Personally there is enough fat in both the pastry and sausage meat to bother adding more with cheese. I always make my own with a thin crisp short pastry and add finely chopped sage and onion it cuts down the amount of fat in each individual roll and tastes superb.

Haven't tried them yet but now that l know of this product l don't think it will be long before l do, with an emphasis on the cheesy Mexican beef, because l am expecting a spicy flavour; hope I'm not disappointed.
Like to try making my own as in the video too.
