A local charity called Puddle Jumpers had a glut of mixed cucumbers so I took home a crate on Friday and turned them into bread and butter pickles yesterday and will take 36 jars of them back to give to the needy 🩷

They were gone so quickly after I delivered them....it's sad to see so many people in need and this charity organisation just can't keep up the supply of goods.....they also run a soup kitchen for lunch and dinner six days a week so I turn all my nearly past it veggies into soup and deliver it on a Saturday evening....part of my no waste style of living....and especially in Winter when a cup of hot soup is really appreciated by the homeless...cheers 🩷

That is actually such a brilliant idea, and you're helping others in need while you're at it too! I really admire you and hope others can be inspired by this We need more people like you in the world!
