Could it be B
Your assumption are possibly correcct from my recollecction but I do believe and have heard from much older Australiana that the belief of "Never commence a project or work assignment on a FRIDAY vbecause doing so would bring bad luck" My dad born in 1920 was a believer of that sayng.Seems to me that two possibilities are false.
Friday was named after the Norse goddess, wife of Odin, sometimes spelt Frida. Obviously not after the Roman god of war, Mars (or it would be Marsday!)
BUT from my understanding of the Roman calender, there were only two specific days - the Ides and the Calends. The rest were days 1, 2, 3 etc. of the month. So it's hard to imagine how the Roman's found 'Friday' a day of bad luck.
