1970s Tupperware

Who remembers these colourful classics? The bold oranges, avocado greens, and sunny yellows — the unmistakable Tupperware colour palette of the 1970s! These sturdy containers were in almost every Aussie kitchen, often stacked high in cupboards or proudly brought out at picnics and barbecues. They were advertised as 'built to last a lifetime'… and judging by how many people still have them today, they weren’t kidding!

Still have them, although not using them due to their makeup. Those lids were the best. So easy to use by just having to push them in the middle. They did bring them back as a limited release and naturally did not last long due to their popularity.

I have all of the above some mine and some my mother's. Still use them and have done most of my adult life!

No I don’t have any of them now, my favourite was the lettuce crisper. They were quite expensive, when now you can buy containers from Kmart for very little and they work just as well.

I had the orange set.

In my family they were always called Suckerware parties.

Mate invited me over to his house and promised me his girlfriend would she me her jugs, how easy it was to trick me into a Suckerware party.
