10 Bedrooms That Will Actually Rob You of Sleep
- Replies 14
We here at the SDC consider our bedrooms as our favourite room at home. It’s our refuge from the world, our fortress of solitude – a peaceful and soothing sanctuary to rest and relax at the end of the day before drifting off into a blissful sleep. Sounds nice, right?
Well, it turns out that not every person’s criteria for the perfect bedroom are the same as ours. While we’d prefer to have a relaxing bedroom that feels like heaven, others have more… “bizarre” tastes.
Be warned folks, here are some nightmare-inducing examples:

Who wants to sleep in a bedroom that looks like it came straight out of a horror movie? A bedroom in the US was “stuffed” full of antique china dolls, and we can’t help but think that the owner probably never sleeps with the lights off.

After a long day, all we want is to just lie down on our bed and bury our heads in between the soft sheets and pillows. But in the picture above, it seems like some people prefer lying on a rock-hard Flinstones-esque bed just to fall asleep.

Another rock-solid bed base! This time, this bed is made from marble. Now, imagine if you get home tired and you just mindlessly fall down onto your bed while your mattress is being cleaned… Ouch!

Whoever decided on this bedroom’s design probably wanted to experience being in between the jaws of a giant dinosaur, just like in Jurassic Park. Now if that heavy-looking giant mouth falls on you while you are sleeping…

While there are some people out there who combine their living and sleeping areas just to save space (especially those who are living in a tiny flat), we never expected to see someone combining their bedroom and bathroom!

Speaking of space-saving, this one managed to combine his bedroom, living room, and even the kitchen together! Now let’s just hope the person doesn’t move around too much in their sleep.

Earlier, when we said we wanted our bedroom to feel “heavenly”, we didn’t mean we wanted it to look like a church altar. But there are probably people out there who like that “vintage church” look. Just like this bed, located in Bristol, which was made out of wood with stairs on either side.

Even though graffiti art can be extremely beautiful and thought-provoking at times, we think having them all over your bedroom walls, mattress, and sheets may be a tad excessive.

The owner loves frills so much that they filled their bed with frilled decorations! We can’t help but think it’s probably uncomfortable sleeping with all that itchy fabric…

This one looks like it literally came out of a person’s nightmares. Imagine sleeping on a bed full of slithering snakes? No thanks.
