“All the Light we Cannot See” and “Cloud Cuckoo Land” by Anthony Doerr

I found both these books an absolute delight. It took me a while to get into them but once there I couldn’t put them down. They both tell the stories of children growing up in difficult times and the challenges and obstacles they faced along the way. Often heart wrenching but also inspiring and beautifully written by the author. I highly recommend them.

I've read All The Light We Cannot See and I can vouch for how wonderful that book is! I would recommend The Book Thief by Markus Zusak if you loved that one. 😄
