‘Secret Santa’ couple’s random act of kindness helps hundreds of struggling Aussie families ahead of Christmas
I know that we've mentioned "Christmas is the season of giving" several times in the past few days but as the holidays are getting closer, more and more Aussies are proving that Christmas is indeed the season of giving!
A couple's random act of kindness has helped hundreds of struggling families fill their stockings this holiday season.
Staff from Cranbourne Kmart said that a random couple walked into the store and approached them to offer to pay off hundreds of laybys worth thousands of dollars last week.

The generous couple donated a total of $10,000 to close the installment payments of some families.
However, they did it with one condition...
The couple requested that the orders should have a Christmas theme or should contain toys and items for children.
The random act of kindness ensures that kids from struggling families will be waking up to some of the popular toys in the market — including Legos, Hot Wheels, and Barbie dolls — on Christmas morning without their parents shelling out money.

One of the recipients of the donation is mother-of-two Kiandra Balazs.
'That selfless act has done more for my family than I can even begin to explain,' she told Seven.
'I instantly burst into tears, and we went, and picked up the layby.'
Ms Balazs took to Facebook to express her gratitude to the anonymous couple, writing that their random act of kindness made her Christmas.
The mum-of-two wrote: 'To the amazing beautiful person who anonymously donated a large sum of money to pay off laybys at Kmart Cranbourne I hope you see this and know how truly generous you are.'
'I have 2 children (2 and 3) and had no idea how I was going to find the money to pick up that layby and I now don't have to stress about it anymore.'
'My children are going to have a great Christmas thanks to you thankyou from the bottom of my heart for your truly selfless act.'

Kmart spokeswoman Kate Thiedeman said that the couple were motivated to help others for the holidays.
I think the intent behind the donation was alleviating some of the financial pressures for families,' she said.
'We really have a lot of people coming in and supporting our Kmart wishing tree appeal that do it in smaller amounts but every year they support those in need'.
We hope that this heartwarming story instilled the holiday spirit within our community. Happy holidays, folks!
