‘It’s not a joke.’ Fans stunned by fast-food chain’s unbelievable new menu item

Get ready for an exciting revelation that could brighten your day! Brace yourselves, folks, because we've got a surprising twist in the fast-food realm.

Burger King, known in Australia as Hungry Jack’s and famed for its flame-grilled whoppers and golden, crispy onion rings, has unveiled a new addition to its menu that's causing quite a stir.

This time round, it's not your run-of-the-mill cheeseburger. In fact, there's no beef patty at all!

Introducing the 'Real Cheese Burger'—a creation straight out of a daredevil's kitchen or, perhaps, a cheese fanatic's dream.

This menu item has turned the traditional cheeseburger on its head, housing not one, not several, but a stack of 20 slices of American cheese instead of the customary meat patty!

Debuting in Thailand on Sunday, the Real Cheese Burger challenged locals and netizens alike with its special promotional price of $4.65 (or 109 baht).

Gripped by the unexpected and stunning novelty, Thailand's social media was flooded with photos of this cheese-laden behemoth.

Now, we've seen food trends come and go—from 70s fondue parties to the rise and fall of cronuts. Yet, the fast-food world still proves capable of surprising us.

Richard Barrow, a revered Thai travel guide writer, shed some light on the peculiar menu offering with a social media post that read, 'A trend in Thailand is to put cheese on literally everything. Now, Burger King has joined in with the Real Cheese Burger.'

Burger lovers and fast-food fans have been chiming in with assorted opinions on this cheese-heavy assembly.

'I am both appalled and intrigued at the same time,' admitted one social media foodie. The potential digestive difficulties of such a cheese-laden meal did not escape mention either.

‘I am not disgusted by it. Gonna give it a try!’ echoed another.

Given the chatter, many across the globe found the reality of the Real Cheese Burger hard to swallow.

'I figured this had to be a joke, it’s not a joke,' said one puzzled observer, and echoed by another, 'Thought it was a joke too. Until some of my Instagram friends posted photos of them with it.'

To clear the air of any misconceptions, Burger King Thailand took to its official social media pages. 'This is no joke. This is for real,' was the confirmation shared to quell the doubts of naysayers.

YUCK - hope not

Greed!!! I would not try it - two slices of cheese at any time would be my max. Where is the meat or chicken in this ridiculous burger? I once bought a grilled chicken burger from Hungry Jacks here in Brisbane and instead of chicken I received ‘chicken’ that was a piece of processed rubbish ‘sponge-like meat’ with the flavour of chicken, instead of real chicken. When I approached the manager on duty she said that was what they were sent. So I sent Hungry Jacks office an email with my complaint & my comment on their slogan “The Burgers Are Better at Hungry Jacks Ha, Ha, Ha”. I never did get a reply and have never been back to HJ. again and would not try them if it was the last fast food store in my area and I was starving that day.

Good grief! I have four foods that are my dietary downfall because I love them so much: hot chips, chocolate, ice cream and cheese. There is no way I could even contemplate eating one of those!

It looks so unappetizing - for a start the cheese is not even melted! not that you could have it melted in such a large quantity-may as a well open a block of cheese up and start eating!_!

Definitely not. Oozing with fat, not a very healthy option at all. Very very bad option.

as much as I love cheese I would never buy that,,firstly it looks disgusting and definitely unappetising ,,then all that fat is not healthy,,,you have people ranting everyday about eating fatty foods and not being healthy for us,,,,,,they need to get in and control fast foods

OMG
Today was one of the rare times we drove through Maccas and got a sausage McMuffin for breakfast. I felt a little guilty, for a moment, but after seeing this I am ordinary.
I do like cheese, but that would stop be going the the loo for number 2 for a few days.
Nothing nice about this offering, unless you are buying if for a horde of mice.

I didn't know I needed to read 'horde' and 'mice' used so nicely in a sentence, @MariaG! It instantly put a smile on my face, so thank you, thank you for your wonderful imagination :D I think I'll be imagining that over the weekend! LOL

American cheese is different to the cheese we normally have here, for one you can always tell it by it's colour, that's enough to put anyone off. But think about it they really don't have much meat in Asia, this could be the plot behind this grossness.
