Most misunderstood road rule revealed: Mastering this can save you $227

I am quite aware of the left signalling rule to leave the roundabout and indicate every time. I love it when other drivers signal their intentions as it makes navigating roundabouts much safer to use. It doesn't matter the size of the roundabout but, indicating on dual lanes can be a bit...

You won’t believe what my neighbor did—Is this shocking ‘unAustralian’ act becoming the new normal?

I also would be a bit reluctant to mow someone else's property without being really sure it's welcomed. I have mowed my neighbour's frontage at a time when I knew he struggling healthwise without issue but I did know it was ok to do so.

American tourist raises questions about Aussie cafe culture

Coffee shops and cafes close at 2pm on the Gold Coast also. Trying to catch up with friends after work from 1 or 2pm we have to actually plan where we might find an open coffee shop who won't be throwing us out by 2pm.

Discover the 'Blue Zone' drink doctor swears by for longer life—one glass daily could be the secret!

I grow my own fruit and a couple of veges. I use my own composted waste for most of my plants. No harmful sprays or gasses. Eaten fresh from the tree. Some I can freeze and use for smoothies.

You won't believe what this mum wore to a wedding after promising not to upstage the bride!

The sadness of the acceptance of what the Mum was wearing has a lot to do with her body shape. I find it shallow that this woman has been picked out and judged whether her attire was acceptable for her daughter's wedding with her looks being part of the criteria.

The stems on Broccoli are full of great fibre and are really nutritious. Can be sliced and used in casserole or roasted. Don't throw them away, use your imagination in the kitchen and share your ideas.

Lawyer’s provocative Woolworths stunt exposes consumer tactics: ‘They're intrusive’

I have never joined a supermarket loyalty scheme. From the very beginning I recognised that they can track my purchases, time in store, amount I spend combined with my life situation eg. sex, location, contact information, where I shop and who I bank with. I imagine that current information...

    AIBU 26.04.2024

Girls of this age group and beyond, can be obsessive with how they look. It's part of fitting in (sadly). Having gone through years while my girls needed reassurance I have avoided "labels" telling them that their features haven't been fully refined yet and that I can't judge because every day...

    Strawberry and Passionfruit Muffins

Yum. Will definitely be making these yummy muffins. Can I suggest to grow a couple of passionfruit vines through an established tree to save money. Just treat as citrus and when they’re ready they fall to the ground. Can be frozen too.

Drivers beware: Speeding could cost you way more in this state starting July!

The fines are unpoliced traffic violations. Foolhardy and dangerous driving, weaving, lane sharing and lane changes without an indicated warning on our busy roads is not picked up if the driver doesn’t speed. It’s rafferty rules out there with an almost get out of my way or else attitude. That...

Woman shares the single laundry rule to break that saves time and money!

Yep, I do exactly that too. Learnt lots of tricks working in a dry cleaners. The only thing I won't mess with is woollen items. Jiggle them too much and all is lost especially, hand knits.

Kmart product sparks outrage due to tiny detail that 'tricked' many shoppers

I did buy this lamp from Kmart. When first looking at the box yes, I did think the globe came with the base. There was a lamp on display so I quickly realised that the box wasn’t big enough and opened a box. The globes were close by for sale and, I love the lamp. It’s in the spare room for...

My daughter had a brain tumour at age 10. After surgery, radiation and chemo I went home with a totally different person after 8 mths. 8 years of rehab and loads of effort to walk independently again. From top of her class to learning and speech difficulties. Next year will be 20 years and she...
