    Grandma Knows Best

I was taught to always smell the stem end of rockmelons & honeydews. If they don’t have a sweet smell I won’t buy them. Annoying now that nearly all fruit is refrigerated & not ripe when sold. Also, pluck one leaf out of the top of pineapples. If it comes out easily the pineapple is ripe...

New disease caused by plastic consumption found in seabirds - Are humans at risk?

is yours a case of See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak evil? Surely reporting the issue and throwing attention on the damage that can be caused by long term ingestion of microplastics is better than sticking your head in the sand for a few years then saying “Why wasn’t I warned years ago that I...

This $3.25 Kmart item will bring your fluffy blankets and jumpers back to life!

    Three TV Channels

When I was working in Darwin in 1972 TV came to Darwin and the ABC was the only channel available and started at 5pm. We used to rush home from work to watch Sesame Street each afternoon, as it was the first show of the day. 🤣

Take a Trip Down Memory Lane and See What Men's Fashion Looked Like in 1970s Australia

My husband wore shorts and long socks for many years to work. So much more appropriate for our hot climate. Workplace dress standards are virtually non existent for women but the poor guys must dress in slacks or suits. I say bring back the safari suit and shorts and long socks! 😍

Talk about pressure! An obstetrician delivers her own baby in the backseat of her car

Our daughter was determined not to spend hours in labour ward, which happened with her first born. With her second baby she had a doula help her through labour at home. I'm an 'old' midwife and, although she was handling her pain really well, I knew she was staying home too long but daughter...

From next week, say goodbye to plastic straws and bags! Australia just BANNED all single-use plastic

Definitely the way forward. All countries should ban single use plastic. Like your article on Aldi's cling wrap, don’t use it!

This 'long-lasting' kitchen staple is a cult favourite among ALDI shoppers!

Yes it lasts for a very long time…. In fact, depending on the quality of cling wrap, it takes between 10 and hundreds of years to decompose! DONT BUY IT!

Caught In The Act: Bus Passenger Stops A Couple from Performing An X-Rated Act in Public

I don’t agree with the photo but at least in a park they could do it somewhere away from other people. I'd think the grunts and groans and sounds of pleasure would entice anyone to turn around to see what was going on.
