I cut a lemon into 4 wedges and place them in my kettle then fill the kettle with water and boil it. Let it cool down for Half an hour or so then tip out the water and lemon wedges and you have what looks like a sparkling clean brand new kettle.

The easiest way is to not let it build up at all. After a shower I always rinse the glass and tiles down then use a squeegee to wipe off excess water then dry with a microfibre cloth. This takes only a couple of minutes and my shower is always sparkling clean and no nasty chemicals
