Maybe used pads or underwear? But yes, what would be so personal? A lady who owned a small corner store said she knew of some regulars that used to hide meat and dearer items in their kids nappies and prams etc

I cried a bit when I read this. Although I was born into a poor but loving family. I realised growing up in the 30's 40's 50's and 60's although we mostly had fun it was not always fun. A few of my friends were brought up in orphanages. It was no better or worse than the stolen generation
