'They've outpriced us': Mum unearths $280 find at Salvation Army

Op shops are now beyond customers buying anything. I am appalled at the prices they charge, especially Salvos & Vinnies. We only now donate to the smaller run op shops. . One especially at Pakenham, . Victoria. We drive 20 minutes to donate there & bypass heaps more but take to them only now.

    Seniors Discount Club Petitions!

I think they should do away with self serve checkouts. Soon there will be no staff in supermarkets. I receive no discount for doing my own checkout on my groceries. Had to wait ages in an Aldi today, they had only one checkout open the rest were self checkout.

Parcel theft epidemic: Australia Post urges vigilance amid growing concerns

Yes. I had a parcel stolen a couple of years ago. Now buy & have it sent to our local P.O. Twice couriers have just thrown it over the gate & once found it in a bush. They are too lazy to leave it. But now having them delivered to the P.O. Is better.

Yes we did at a caravan park. Arrived to not find a top sheet. Went over to the office & got one. As we were packing to leave I said to hubby, how odd there was a bottom sheet but no top sheet. So lifted the fitted sheet only to find the most disgusting mattress. Apparently they were hiding it...

Seasoned critic dishes take on modern manners: Tastefully breaking bread or overdone?

One I wish people would still tell their children to do is not just leave the table & run around annoying other people. We were taught to say “please may I leave the table. Children can be so noisy when you are trying to have a nice quiet Dinner. Rather fed up with it.

‘No care factor’: Aussie shopping centre’s parking slots draw critique from shoppers

Yes I have, many times To get in our car I need the door fully open. So many times someone has parked so close I cannot get in. So hubby has to back out so I can get in, that means we are parked over the roadway which is dangerous. So many people are just thoughtless, also as well I find lately...

ACCC introduces new laws to reduce toppling furniture dangers

Ridiculous, just an extra cost to the maker. Teach your children not to climb on furniture. I am angry at the things I cannot open because of childproof locks on them. How easy is it to keep things out of their reach.

These gates are the pits. Coles shop we went to the gate would not open. Coles at Endeavour Hills Vjc is the pits. We changed to there because it had :3 Supermarkets all close together. Unlock the secret trick a savvy shopper used to slash her grocery bills!

I wish we knew the time things were going to be marked down. But I DO NOT believe the one about 30 chickens marked down to $1 each. If the store was closing at 10pm they would not have cooked so many chickens that late. With half an hour to closing? No way!

Aussies can't stop arguing over the secret behind the irresistible taste of Bunnings sausages

No way would we buy a sausage at Bunnings. The BBQ is just used for hours without being cleaned & there is nowhere for the people working there to wash their hands. We walked past one just recently & were appalled at the $3.50 price. There are about 24 slices of bread in a loaf of bread for...

A sour taste in Aussie’s mouths: Cadbury just tampered with beloved chocolate bar

We often buy a Cherry Ripe on our shopping days to eat on our way home. Will not be doing so anymore. These factories are making a fortune yet are so lousy they reduce their Products size. Cadburys blocks used to be 250gr now lucky if some of them are 160 - 170 gr.

This mum’s $2 meal can keep your tummies warm in the cooler months!

That recipe with Penne & noodles would. Be just awful the home brand is always salty. And that is lousy serving that to your children. There must be a better option than that. Cheaper to cook a big lot of soup with lots of vegies. Add pasta as well.

Savvy shopper shares unusual tactic she uses to dodge scams in Temu!

I buy from TEMU quite a lot. If something is wrong they fix it straight away. I have also been refunded if a product is wrong & then they tell me to keep it. I had a parcel I picked up 3days ago, when I opened it one of the bottles had leaked. I told them yesterday & they refunded me the amount...

Unlock the secret trick a savvy shopper used to slash her grocery bills!

We have been in Coles at all times of the day even late at night, never ever have we found any of these markdowns. I am actually fed up with reading them on here. Some people are greedy like this. They take it all why not let others share the markdowns.

Bins blocking blues: Aussie man's predicament sparks neighbourhood squabble

In our Shire, the Shire of Yarra Ranges the very small Red lidded bin for rubbish is only collected fortnightly. It is not enough. I rang & asked could we have another bin or larger. After taking down my details I was told it would be another $168 per year. Why? The Red ones are too small to...
