Eat this and risk your heart! Shocking study exposes deadly risk of popular plant-based foods.

yes it is personal choice but We should also look at the real science behind it all. Meat is not the issue, the way the animals are looked after is. Regenerative farming is best. Nothing will deter me from eating meat but I prefer to buy from places where they sell meat from the good farmers...

Eat this and risk your heart! Shocking study exposes deadly risk of popular plant-based foods.

We do actually. Sometimes we find out later in life what lack of real nutrients against supplements really does even if the supplements are natural. Plant have a lot of chemicals in them we don't need and can't process. Oxalates for one. Meat is a complete food. Natural to humans for thousands...

Eat this and risk your heart! Shocking study exposes deadly risk of popular plant-based foods.

We should not be eating a predominantly plant based diet. We need meat. Our gut is not set up to process plant material and cellulose in particular. We need meat or we will be short on B12 and iron to name just 2. Won't go that way any time soon

Discover the 'Blue Zone' drink doctor swears by for longer life—one glass daily could be the secret!

Oh grief more bad advice from a dietician. 100% orange juice. 100% sugar. And the blue zone is another one of those scams about longevity. Trying to get us to stop eating meat and start eating mostly fruit and veg. Al that will do is add to the already mounting number of diabetics, lower the...

Lost in transactions: Widow’s family accuses Westpac of negligence over mysterious withdrawals

yeah I wonder about the strength of the power of attorney if the mother was diagnosed with dementia but the daughter didn't seem to do much with it.

Lost in transactions: Widow’s family accuses Westpac of negligence over mysterious withdrawals

If this woman had a formal diagnosis of onset of dementia and the daughter was appointed power of attorney then perhaps the daughter should have advised the bank when this was done. If the bank knew she was not really capable of doing things for herself, (and yes some can appear fine but still...

Penny-wise palate: Budget cooking guru delivers flavourful feasts at $150 weekly!

We are on the pension. I only buy sweet potato for hubby. I don't eat veg and only the bit of fruit I grow. I buy chicken wing and air fry them. Also buy steak and lamb chops. Do pork and lamb roasts when they are cheap. I don't eat breakfast and don't eat grains or seed oils. I cook with butter...

Hospitals tally record-high visits straining the Australian healthcare system

I have noticed over the last 40+ years that there has been a general change in our diets. We have relied on governments and other vested interests to tell us what to eat. Now we have a ballooning health crisis and with the recent removal of bulk billing by many medical centres this is putting an...

Looming infestation threatens several pantry staples across Australia

There are a lot of "keto" recipes out there. Most use almond flour but I am now using macadamia flour as it is lower in oxalates (they can be an issue in high amounts) and higher in good fats. There are some commercial operations who cater for this but it is more expensive. I did do a flourless...

Looming infestation threatens several pantry staples across Australia

sorry I don't eat grains. I eliminated them from my diet some time ago. I cook my own cakes and biscuits. Don't use conventional flour. Also don't eat seed oils like canola

Looming infestation threatens several pantry staples across Australia

Don't eat grains so won't affect me. Personal opinion think a lot of these bugs are deliberately introduced to wreck our agricultural industry and make us reliant on imported crap

Lawyer’s provocative Woolworths stunt exposes consumer tactics: ‘They're intrusive’

Yes I am with both Woolworths Rewards and Coles flybuys. I realise they track my spending. I use the cards as where I live there isn't much in alternatives locally. I have found that I go shopping and then get an email the same afternoon suggesting I could get xyz points if I spend so many...

    AIBU 24.05.2024

No I'm a bit sick of seeing agents tell people they should renovate or "stage" their homes. It really is totally ridiculous. If a prospective buyer can't see past what you have to work out if their stuff will fit or not then they should not be house hunting. Most agents just want to sell the...

Experts reveal new COVID-19 sub-variants that may spark surge in cases

Reality is this crap is all fabricated to put fear into people. There is no such thing as viruses. A doctor has a million dollar reward out for anyone who can show him a virus or breed it in a petrie dish. Nothing so far. All junk science. Mostly it's either bacteria or the body detoxing from...

Experts reveal new COVID-19 sub-variants that may spark surge in cases

Your doctor is so correct. Most of this rubbish is not a virus but a reaction ot someone your body does not like. A toxin in the air. Even something you have eaten can cause the same issues. I'm 74, just had the worst bug in years. Had antibiotics. Also had been told I have atrial fibrillation...
