Public figure slams TV program over controversial ADHD story

Interesting comments Jest. I worked in a kindergarten from 1974-81 & we didn’t have one child with ADHD. We did have a few boys who were badly behaved at home & we were assured that they were definitely hyperactive, but they weren’t, just bored & wanting to learn stuff. By the time my son...

Public figure slams TV program over controversial ADHD story

I would really love it if more members would write about how they have dealt with having children who were Autistic or had ADHD. I have twin great nephews who will be 9 next week & one has level 3 Autism while his brother has ADHD & autism. My niece is a divorced mum of 3 & has trouble coping...

118 lives lost on Victorian roads this year—this choice could save you

The rest of us appear to have understood what the statement meant! It wasn’t exactly ambiguous.

Good News You Might Have Missed

How totally horrible for your friend. You don’t realise how terrible until you experience it first hand, or in our case, walk beside a friend with dementia & her poor husband, who cares for her. It is heartbreaking & terribly draining. It gets harder everyday. Give your friend an extra big hug...

    1960s Hairstyle

Maybe that’s why my hair insists on going where it wants to, it’s still traumatised! 😂

    1960s Hairstyle

I remember trying most of the styles shown. It’s strange because I always had problems getting my hair to stay turned up so had to have it permed because it turned under, now I want it turned under, what does it do, it turns up. It’s truly cantankerous some days. Thankfully, today’s hairstyles...

Good News You Might Have Missed

Another roundup of amazing stories! I particularly excited about the Alzheimer drug & hope that it works for many people. I’m also interested in the in the 3D printed houses & would love to hear more about them, anything that helps get people into a home is worthwhile.

    Flit Spray Can

My mum had one of these. I’m sure she fumigated the house with it & probably us as well but at least we didn’t have many flies coming inside. The blowflies on the farm back when I was a child were absolutely enormous.

How do you cope in summer? Must be an uncomfortable season for you.

What’s the #1 Problem Every American Faces in Australia? One Expat Reveals the Shocking Truth

My house is warm, so I’m fine inside during winter but once I step outside it’s 🥶🥶🥶 totally freezing. I really loathe the cold winters in Tassie. We have a reverse cycle heat pump, which means warm air in winter & cool air in summer. I would actually love to hibernate for the cold months!

What voluntary assisted dying options are available for those with dementia?

It’s so hard to make a decision on this, but having a friend with dementia & seeing her become more paranoid & upset is horrendous. Maybe you should be able to make a decision when you are diagnosed, stating that when the disease progresses to the stage where you aren’t totally aware of what’s...

Is New Zealand coming for something else we love? Here’s what they want to take next!

I only drink black coffee, so not really concerned about who first created the flat white.

Plummeting vaccine rates spark warnings across the country. Are you at risk?

Sorry to hear that you have health problems Helen, & I hope that you’re fully recovered soon. I had my COVID vax a week ago so I’m right for a while, at least I hope so.

    Buttons

My mum had a button collection & so do I, of course. I often wonder why as I rarely sew these days & haven’t knitted or crocheted anything needing buttons for ages.

Two Romanian men charged over NSW card skimming scam that netted more than $800K

I’m certainly glad that they’ve been caught & hope that someone else doesn’t start up again. It is a worry with using cards, not that it’s going to cause me to stop.
