My mum had one of these. I’m sure she fumigated the house with it & probably us as well but at least we didn’t have many flies coming inside. The blowflies on the farm back when I was a child were absolutely enormous.

My house is warm, so I’m fine inside during winter but once I step outside it’s 🥶🥶🥶 totally freezing. I really loathe the cold winters in Tassie. We have a reverse cycle heat pump, which means warm air in winter & cool air in summer. I would actually love to hibernate for the cold months!

My mum had a button collection & so do I, of course. I often wonder why as I rarely sew these days & haven’t knitted or crocheted anything needing buttons for ages.
