1960s Hairstyle

Remember the 1960s hairstyles? Big volume, bold colours, and plenty of hair lacquer to keep it all in place. Thursday nights meant a trip to the hairdresser, and Saturday mornings were for the comb-up—styles that could last all weekend! Some even remember ironing their hair straight on the ironing board. Did you have a hairstyle like this?

I remember trying most of the styles shown. It’s strange because I always had problems getting my hair to stay turned up so had to have it permed because it turned under, now I want it turned under, what does it do, it turns up. It’s truly cantankerous some days. Thankfully, today’s hairstyles are so much easier & dont have to be stiff with lacquer.

luckily I don't use lacquer because it makes my head itch but when my hair gets to my shoulders it tends to curl up on it's own.
