Anything that takes on Qantas and gives them a run for their money can only be good for the public and may be the best thing that can happen.
I sincerely hope they get approval.
Two points:
1. Australia isn't the only country resisting a cashless society.
2. People are waking up to the cost of using cards and they are realising that if cash disappears altogether, we will be at the complete mercy of the banks and businesses. Australia is the highest fee paying country...
You're either too young, ignorant or spent your life under a rock She was a huge star in France.
And fyi. Australia is a multi-racial country. Almost everybody who lives here, and probably including you, came from another country so most people ARE interested.
These scammers work on the law of averages. Their systems automatically send out hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of texts and emails. If they catch 10% they've had a good day
Yes. But I am in the opposite position. I am a pensioner and live alone, so it can be difficult to "buy small" in a budget. Supermarkets charge exorbitant prices for small individual items so they are not practical.
I therefore "buy big" and make multiple meals and freeze. Spaghetti Bolognaise...
I agree. I've always found Coles and Woollies steak tough. Even stewing beef when slow cooked is never beautifully tender. I go to the meat wholesalers or proper butcher if I want decent meat.
And I, too , am sick of them leaving long stalks on broccoli, too much green around cauliflowers etc...
Vetting and investigating whether your emails, texts, phone calls etc are scams or genuine is becoming an onerous full-time job and people are sick of it.
Even if you never shop online you are still bombarded by thieves.
Maybe it's time to ditch social media, quit online shopping unless they...
Marketplace is one of the worst sites for scams. It is just full of them. I'd never buy a thing from that site. Or part with any "deposit" on any other.
I checked out a rental scam once. Was obviously a scam. $400 pw for a house on the Northern Beaches. But person wanted 4 weeks deposit "to...
Yes. Taken over by (or merged with) Sigma. Aim? To control the market. Just like the banks etc. And look where that's getting us. Once they've knocked put the competition there will be no more "cheapies".
And my answer to those who pay more than $1 per scrip or believe the small pharmacies can...
It's only a $1and this will enable all the smaller, independent pharmacies to compete. The convenience of having a local pharmacy on our doorstep instead of having to travel to a Chemist Warehouse for just a scrip is far more important than saving a $1.
Exactly. Garbage bins and collections are one of the core responsibilities of local councils and are already and always have been, what our rates for. Ther should be NO additional charges in relation to garbage.
Rubbish. Nothing classic about this one.
The guy has a responsible job so he's not stupid. Just had his story already worked out in the event he got caught. which he did. How even the dumbest person could begin to believe an offer of $11m is just breathtaking.
That's okay. They don't have to take cash (or do they?🤔). I don't have to patronage their shop. Easy.
I won't shop anywhere that doesn't take cash. And that will be the supermarkets who decide to do that.
