Major changes at Woolworths spark fury—Here’s how your local deli counter might be affected!

I hate, hate pre-packaged cold meat. Coles started it here in Narrandera and I refuse to buy it. I now get my cold meat from IGA store. All that plastic and sometimes the meat is slimy. Not for me.

Were you affected by the Optus outage? Make your voice heard now!

We were on holidays n Queensland when we lost Optus. Trying to find where my brother's girlfriend lived was so stressful as we all know, no public phones now to ring up on. No Navman as it worked through my phone also. Came home to find that it had affected our TV too, with Fetch. To say I was...

Scandal unfolds as couple loses $139k in shocking luxury car scam—now they're getting SUED by the dealer!

I nearly fell for a scam from Gumtree. I was selling a dining room suite when they wanted me to pay for the pick up. $600. But, I told them, the price for pick up was much higher than the set was worth $200. So I knew this had to be a scam. Told them to buy a new dining set, it would be...

Why you should be wary of Afterpay Plus according to financial experts

I have used it once. The object of Afterpay is to buy something like tyres as we did and then pay off over 4 payments. Which is what we did. It is very handy and all it takes is restraint on the shopper. After all, it helps, but don't abuse it. It is still a loan.

Why are some Australians resorting to petty crime? Shocking ‘desperate’ measures reveal the reality of the cost of living crisis

It has been a hard couple of years for most of us. Now the Councils are getting in on the action. Our Council in Narrandera wants to increase the Land and water rates by 48.1%. Many of us are on a pension and this increase will see our pitiful pension being stretched thin again. For the poor...

SDC members react To $2.34 a day Centrelink pension increase

I can understand the increase in our pensions as being well under the cost of living, but why then do our Politicians receive such big increases in their pay packets if it is so dire to at least give us a pension we can survive on. After all, it's our taxes that pay for you lot. So share to wealth

Shocking turn of events: Qantas boss Alan Joyce quits unexpectedly before retirement

Alan Joyce is a coward. Leaving so he doesn't have to answer questions about how he ran Qantas. Should not have been given a golden handshake that's for sure. What shareholder would reward such actions is beyond the pale.
