Some of the cheaper brands have ingedients listed that haven't been proven safe. I wish the government would crack down on this.

Home insurance bills are soaring as climate risks grow. The government should step in

The Compulsory Third Party has also gone up over 100% since 2022/23, my insurance cost $298.89 and $730 in 2023/24. Are they ripping us off. Surely it is not the covid that has made the cost rise.

RBA in hot water over staffer’s Kmart, BIG W email comment; Sunrise’s Nat Barr zeroes in

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. BUT - what can we do about it. It is no different to the Politicians accepting their pay rise after Covid started and now another one at their rate of pay accepting another payrise twice as mudh as anyone else. I have over time not been able to...

RBA in hot water over staffer’s Kmart, BIG W email comment; Sunrise’s Nat Barr zeroes in

What about the politicians accepting their payrise. It was advertised approx 21 month ago that they were going to get 7.6%. Now it is down to something like 4.6%. They still get more in their payrise than somepeople get in a half yearly wage. They should be ashamed of themselves. They also...

Could Australia go cashless in just three years? Here's what a finance expert wants you to know

At the moment there are still some shops that will only accept credit/debit cards. I wil not shop at those shops regardless if they are cheaper.

Is Woolworths putting your health at risk? Free naturopath consultations spark experts’ concern

I have been helped by naturopaths more than I have doctors. The main help doctors give is to presribe pain killers, that don't work most of the time. I realise there is a place for doctors but they don't try and get to the bottom of a lot of the causes. I had to go to emergency, to two...

    Major Woolworths change infuriates shoppers

We need something done about Woolworths not allowing disabled pensioners the 10% discount if they have insurance with them, if the order online. Is there anything we can do? You can't wheel a walker and a trolley at the same time.

    GIVE IT BACK

Sorry I am the oder generations, but I don't get it.

Woolworths posts a whopping $1.62b profit despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis

They stopped giving people 10% discount if they had some type of insurance on online ordering, even if you are disabled. Maybe they could bring that back for people with a disability sticker on their car. One can't use a wheelie walker and push a trolley at the same time.

You won't believe how much more you're spending nowadays! See how the 7.5% food price surge affects your check-out bill

I could not see where you mentioned less product for the same price. I have tasted Woolworths Corn Flakes but they can't beat Kellogs. We still need to eat whatever tastes better for us.

Member Spotlight: Fighting isolation one joke at a time with @Skipton

As long as they are not jokes about putting wives down. I lived in a situation where my husband thought it was funny to put me down using the normal wifey jokes. After 25 years it was just too much so I had to leave for my health.

Union calls on Services Australia to change approach as negotiations continue

The greedy politicians accepted their payrise of 7.6% that in reality is 3 - 4 times more than the average worker. Where and who is the watchdog for this. It seem the politicians aren't going to do anything about.

Mum ‘swears by’ $3.50 Kmart find–what’s all the ‘fizz’ about?

There is a government website for health. Soda drinks are one of many different foods that increase the acidity of our bodies. I haven't found out about fizzy water yet? I have no proof of this but I think it depends on what we ate/drank as children as well.

Pressure on pumps: Petrol prices unlikely to drop below $2 per litre for the next few weeks

People (or maybe only seniors - I'm not sure) living in the city are allowed to get $2.50 transport. With the $250 per year (which apparently has stopped now - not sure), however people living in the country can't get inter town transport so have to fill up their cars. I don't use my car very...

This $724 Woolworths grocery haul sparked outrage–but why?

I can't think what Woolworths are doing. Their tin apple (good brand - not W brand). (The W brand had too many additives, but they don't seem to be selling it any more). The small tin has increased to $4 per tin (used to be a bit over $2) and the larger size (I think nearly twice as muach as...
