    Phone Boxes Of Yesteryear

When we first had a public phone in Bexley North it consisted of the top half of the booth on a pole. I wonder if this was to make sure calls were sharp and to the point especially on a cold winters night.

    Travelling By Steam Train

As a youngster, our family had a holiday every year at the south or north coast of NSW. The trains then were always steam powered and the carriages had windows that you could open. If you forgot to close the window going through one of the tunnels on either trip, you got a lot of smoke into the...

Telstra gives away free mobile phones to 12,000 customers—find out if you're qualified!

I have received a new mobile from Telstra as I need contact 24/7. It is a Samsung 5G. Being suspicious of everything these days, I contacted Telstra direct to check how much extra this would cost me and I was assured that it would not have any effect on my bills. Thank you Telstra 10/10.

What High School Did You Go To

I went to Canterbury Boy's High School from Bexley North Primary School in (I think) 1947/8. I had a brand new Globite school case. It was handy for sitting on as I had to catch trains to get to Canterbury, and as I travelled in peak hours seats were rare both at stations and on trains. The good...

Aussie shopper cracks lucky ALDI surprise, eggs-citing discovery leaves internet shell-shocked!

I want to know when we are going to have a proper grading of eggs. It seems as though as long as it is in a carton it is a LARGE EGG. Go to your local Woolies and see how eggs of many sizes are sold as LARGE EGGS.

Proposed bill aims to fine businesses and individuals up to $25,000 for refusing cash payments

I find a lot of Estate Agents will not accept cash in payment for rent. This puts a lot of people at a disadvantage as they do not have a credit card.
