Severe rental crisis leaves many living on friends’ couches: ‘I’m basically homeless’

I agree. Have read recently that many landlords are now selling their investment properties as it is all becoming too hard. I can see both sides of the story. Personally I have never and would never own any property other than my own home . I read about people owning 15 plus properties. I...

Severe rental crisis leaves many living on friends’ couches: ‘I’m basically homeless’

If ever there is a reason to try and own your own home it is this situation. Relying on rental properties is something I would hate. You are at the mercy of landlords and you never know when you are going to get your move on notice. Years back you could rely on social housing for certain...

Customer's bold prediction about Coles cashless self-service register enrages Sydney shoppers – here's why

Have always been only two(cash) out of 8 self serve registers at my local Coles as well. If not in a hurry I just go to the manned checkout and wait in line. It is annoying though when someone who could use a card one chooses to use one of the only two cash ones when they could have used a...

Former employee shares horrific images from a Coles warehouse

Typical response from Coles....just an airy fairy reply which did not address the issue at all!

Life-saving heart disorder pill gets massive price cut

$73.48 a month I pay for my three medications. I get a few dollars back under the new scheme. We are self funded so pay full for everything. My husband after waiting 6 years from when he applied for a card from DVA has only got it a month or so ago. What a joke! He now gets his very...

Woolworths probes claim of frog found in woman's dinner

I always check and wash any prepackaged salad veg myself. I find this rather odd to be quite honest!

Woolworths roast chickens are now priced…WHAT?

Wrongly priced items are not rare. This is why I always like a receipt and I can check it instantly outside the shop. A number of times I have found errors and gone straight back in. So many do not even take or check their receipts. Maybe that is one reason they want you to have digital ones ;)

Discover why Coles shoppers are ditching champagne and steak for these alternatives ahead of the holiday season

I am a very savvy shopper too and I am amazed at some of the higher prices. I refuse to purchase until I have checked out prices with Aldi now. Two weeks ago I wanted jar of Kantong sweet and sour sauce. $4 a bottle at Coles but got one for $2.99 at Aldi. This week I noticed Coles had...

Missing Everyday Rewards feature? Woolworths has cleared the commotion!

I got 1000 points but was in a hurry after spinning and did not read any more on the site. Thought I would get 1000 points for nothing but it appears I have to spend money to get it....no I will not be spending $70 to get by Monday 31st...oh well...there you go!

Has Woolworths been secretly tricking you through its sale displays? Shopper slams retailer for 'absolutely disgraceful trick’

I have noticed this as well here in WA. Why should we be constantly on guard for these sort of misrepresenations. I think they can be find for this.

A new game at Woolworths supermarkets could save you hundreds on your holiday grocery bill!

I got one thousand points and was under impression it was put straight into my account. Wrong....I have to go and spend money before the 30th at an EG service station.

Bank refunds pensioner's scammed money…and then snatches it back?

Funny thing to do in my opinion. She would only need to give her account number so they could pay the money into it surely? Why give the bankcard details?

Bank refunds pensioner's scammed money…and then snatches it back?

If a person does not front up in person with cash I don't do any business with them. I never give my account details out to anyone.

Eat these 6 ‘anti-ageing’ foods for healthier skin, a longer lifespan, and an immediate boost to your cognition!

We eat lots of pickled red cabbage. I make this all the time. So easy. I use the the large jars with lids you can get from Kmart. Three in a pack for six dollars I think they were. Just a screw top lid. Makes two bottles I find using half a red cabbage and one large carrot or two smaller...

Kmart's controversial solution to checkout woes: A first look at the Melbourne store trial

When they first put this stupid set up in the store I said it was crazy and I have been proven correct. I also hate the Customer Service back at the back of the store as well. The number of times I have gone there and the desk is unmanned and I have to press the buzzer and wait and wait for...

Start your Christmas festivities with this shockingly affordable $4 award-winning wine from Coles and Liquorland!

Some years ago now a Liquorland wine won a blind tasting. We bought some and have been drinking ever since. It is a nice drop of Sav. Costs about $7 a bottle but can at times get six for $36 on special. It is called Story Bay! There is one from Aldi called Celbration which I enjoy as well...

A simple birthday gift from mum made this bloke $730K richer—find out how!

I thought I would tell you this tale after reading that article. I have always been a bit "psychic" like my late Mum...it is the Irish in us ;) Anyway this is the story. About 6 weeks ago I had a "vision" that as I walked past my friend's home (we live in a retirement village) I saw an A4...
