Australians brace for all-in-one digital ID system

Yeah, I can do all the things you have listed as well, but why would I when I have better methods available? How do you find your way if you are looking for an address in a city you have never been to? I guess you look at a map? How will looking at the sky tell you what the...

Australians brace for all-in-one digital ID system

Advertising! Stores want you to continue being a customer and the reason your details are kept is to send you targeted advertisements.

Australians brace for all-in-one digital ID system

I have my bank on my mobile, however, my customer number and password have to be entered when I accessd my accounts, just as I have to when accessing my account from my coputer. You are quite right, as I expected, most members are outraged and quite obviously have not read that it is optional...

Australians brace for all-in-one digital ID system

I agree. I couldn't understand the opposition to have one single card and number instead of having a Txafile number, Medicare number, Centrelink number, etc.

Good news for retirees: Increased income limits announced for Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, ‘thousands’ seen to benefit

To start with, this would require to actually see a doctor and as for utilities, there is no discount in the ACT (or NSW) for the CSHC. So no, I don't get any benefits.

What did this Coles shopper do that had everyone debating?

Oh dear, the world is doomed because someone put a dog into a trolley to do their food shopping. Have concerns over this? Bring along a cloth to cover the bottom of the trolley or use those grocery sorting bags that fit in the trolleys. Too easy!

Australians brace for all-in-one digital ID system

When I read the title of this article, my immediate thought was that this would be like pouring oil onto a fire and, reading the comments, I was not disappointed. When this digital ID comes into being, I won't be downloading the app onto my phone, not because I am worried about hackers or the...

Good news for retirees: Increased income limits announced for Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, ‘thousands’ seen to benefit

As an "asset rich/income poor" self funded retiree, I found the CSHC application process very simple and it didn't take long at all to get the card in the mail. Can't say that it has been much of a benefit since I don't do medications other than Osteo Panadol, which I can purchase over the...

Is consistent sex enough? Survey reveals 'truth' about 'happy' couples

"A survey done in the UK said that long-term and happy couples have at least 7 intimate sessions in a month" Is that all? Just 7 times a month? We're doing way much better than that.

    Scam phone call

Just had a call from "Telstra" about "illegal activity" on my internet. So I decided to string those idiots along for the fun of it. The first person told me that scammers were breaking into my internet and she would help me to clean it up. Then she asked whether I was using a mobile phone...

Small businesses reveal surprising reason why they're going cashless

I live in the real world, I deal with facts and I do not believe everything someone tells me or what I see on TV, but I research the veracity of their claims! It may sound strange to you, but research REQUIRES READING INFORMATION rather than watching Sky News!
