NSW government ministers advised not to use THIS word in workplace: "How can it be offensive?"

Oh pulleease! Mate is the word you use in all situations and it depends on the tone whether it is offensive or not. Years ago we had a sexual harassments seminar and my beautiful boss had to stop calling us "darl". It was always in the kindest way Like "how you going, darl? have you finished...

Woolworths accused of being "too woke" on social media – do you agree or not?

Exactly what I was going to say. If they are called women "what about those who identify as women" - they would cry.

Woolworths worker discloses the unbelievable amount of hot cross buns the store sells each year - and other secrets!

I totally refuse to eat hot cross buns until near Easter - Hubs eats them from Christmas eve or whenever they first sell. He is definitely contributing to the 2865 tonne sales

ALDI announces major change in all of its stores nationwide — “Goodbye octopus arms!”

ALDI! Pleeeeeese come to Tasmania!!! Pleeeeeeeese! There are sooooooo many mainlanders living here that would love to kick Woolies and Coles to the kerb! Its not even the prices (well it is) but I can't get some of my favourite products here. One store at Oatlands (that's the middle of Tassie)...

ALDI Australia addresses speculation on the trickling down of MASSIVE price hikes imposed by headquarters to stores in other countries

When Aldi lifts their prices they will be in line with what I was paying at Woolies two years ago. Be grateful you have an Aldi at all.

Chupa Chups unveils an ICE CREAM VERSION of its crowd-favourite flavour - “I’m SO excited for this!”

Chupa chups don't need to make ice cream. I'd like the candy cane flavour to be available all year round.

Lucky Big W shopper gets $54 worth of chocolates for only $4! - “What a bargain!”

Yes, good for her but this is the "toilet paper" thing again. Wouldn't it have been better to only buy a reasonable amount and leave others to get a good bargain too. Its selfish In my eyes.

Should you go to your father’s funeral despite him distancing himself from you for 30 years? Social media divided on a heated debate

This is why I hate funerals - they are so fake. I know plenty of people who go to funerals who haven't had anything to do with the deceased for years then they are regaled with "sorry for your loss" "if I can help you with anything" (knowing full well they won't).

What you can expect from the Seniors Discount Club in 2022

This all sounds good - I like the specials, unfortunately we don't have Aldi in Tasmania and it makes me miss Aldi so much. Anyhow its good to see what Coles and Woolies have. I would really LOVE to see more thrift articles as the pressure increases on our pensions we need to make the dollars go...

Encouragement to go for a walk

Encouragement to go for a walk I like walking but only to places. Just walking for exercise is boring but a must do. I download an audio book and ONLY permit myself listen to it when I'm walking, Sooooo if I want to find out what happens next I have to keep walking. Works for me!

A question for my fellow tea drinkers out there...

I guess I'm not a "good" tea drinker. I like tea so weak I can see the bottom (no milk of course). I have used a single tea bag six times,
