Ask Joy: I think someone I know needs a little help (Part 2).

We have 1 hours help every fortnight. We pay $11 for this service. I was interested that someone said it was free if you are on a full pension. I have to agree that Australia is stagnating under red tape. Even these senior government services are hard to navigate and understand.

Bankwest customer ‘absolutely gobsmacked’ after 130km cash withdrawal trip ends in failure

You actually have difficulty speaking to the head office of a bank. I was kept waiting on the other end of the phone for over 2 hours. Finally a real person to talk to after all that time only to be cut off. The banks are closing branches and the few that remain open often have long lines of...

David Koch explains why younger Aussies have ‘short end of the stick’ in housing market

I feel sorry for young Australians but David Koch don't think for one minute that we older folks haven't, in our youth, gone through the same hardships. My parents and my husbands parents struggled to make ends meet. We did too in our younger years.

Sounds like a Vegan plot to me. I come from a family of butchers. We have eaten meat all our lives as indeed our ancestors did. Never in excess, but I am80 and my husband 83, who was also a butcher, and we have surprised doctors how healthy we are for our age.

Losing it: How a simple lifestyle change helped me shed 20kg

Shoppers furious about Kmart’s 'age-inappropriate' book

Kids love slightly 'naughty' things. I am a great grandmother and in my day this might have been 'shocking' but now books are written about 'snot' and 'farting' and 'poop'. Not a problem.
